Nic and Tina founded Guardian Paws Service Dogs in 2016. Nic served in the USMC for 13 years and deployed 4 times. Tina started her dog training career over 25 years ago. Fifteen years ago she began training service dogs, and in the last 8 years Tina found her passion for training service dogs for veterans.
Mike is not only GPSD Vice President, he and his service dog Ziva are our lead train team in the Magic Valley. Before joining Guardian Paws Mike served his country as a Army Solider, and his community as a Law Enforcement Officer. When Mike is not out working with Veterans, he enjoys his down time with his family.
Scott met Kaoru in Japan while Scott was stationed in the U. S. Navy. They have been married for over 26 years and have 2 great kids. They came to Guardian Paws to train Scott’s dog Coco and have stayed on to become trainers out of a desire to help other veterans as well as educate the community about service dogs.
Penelope came to GPSD in support of her son, a USMC Vet. She brings more than 20 years of nonprofit management experience to GPSD. Penelope graduated from U of N, Reno. She holds a Masters Degree in Human Development. She is honored to serve our local Veterans.
